Size 4-5.5 in women's, 5'1 ~115lbs
I bought these boots knowing that they were men's and, per reviews, they'd be a little more bulky than some of the other women's Demonia boots I've bought before. Upon arrival, lovely as always packaging, the shoes are even more beautiful in person! I tried them on immediately, just doing a quick laces and strap adjustment to get a general feel for them! They are definitely heavier than I'm used to with my usual Shaker 52's, and with my tiny feet I noticed that the base made me feel a lot wider in my steps. With all new boots, I try to keep in mind that there may be an adjustment "break-in" period but my first time wearing them out was pretty rough! They felt like I had on ski boots after not long and around the ankle and lower calf started to hurt pretty quickly. In all fairness, i tried again the second outing and maybe it can be helped by really adjusting the tongue to the curve of your foot and tightening the laces appropriately! I may have had them a little too tight mixed with the tongue being stiff and folded weird? After some adjustments though, they felt a little better the second wear! No real pain in the same areas as before but I still felt a little weird with the wide step too. The real disappointment of these boots was the cute black chunky strap tearing when I tried to adjust it to me. Tore on my second time trying on but first time really wearing them. I sew so I'm gonna just repair it myself but with the straps being meant…
