1. So much more beautiful in person. The product photos are yellow dominant but they show more variety of colors in person. And they SHIFT COLORS depending on the light's type and angle (even the metal pieces). See videos for the magic. (Videos and photos were taken indoors with natural lightening through windows except for video with flash. Photo edited to distort background but otherwise untouched.)
2. They are very comfortable and easy to walk in. I haven't worn them all day yet, but just walking around I can tell they are supportive. You can feel that you have platforms on but they aren't heavy. I feel very stable walking with them to the point where the chance of rolling my ankle is basically zero.
3. While I'm a size 5, I wear a size 6 for boots because I like to wear thick socks and don't like my feet feeling compressed. These are perfect; there's space in front of my toes and the sides of my feet aren't being squeezed. But be advised. If your desired tightness of the strings makes it difficult to remove the shoe, you should loosen them before taking it off. Repeated yanking on the heel can break it off.
4. The only negative is that it was difficult for me to hook the ankle straps while the shoe was on, so I just set it on the loosest hole while they were off because I didn't want to have to rehook them every time I put the shoes on. The good side of that is that when they're on the first hole, you can easily push them away to untie and retie the shoelace…
