Was worried at first about how much space would be on the inside for ankle movement and if it brushed against the leg too often. These have straps on the back that are adjustable and not just for aesthetics. There is also a zipper down the side for ease of putting the shoe on, and it gets covered up by the flaps after your buckle them down. The material feels strong and non-abrasive. The only thing that worries me a little is that the buckles on the back are made of a very light metal(?) and their durability over time has me curious. Overall though I am happy with the purchase.
