Literally reaching new heights
I've had these for a good month or so now and let me tell you I love how tall (read: average height) they make me. As your resident short person, I can safely say that being eye level with many of your friends gives you a scary amount of confidence.
Yes, it does hurt for me to walk in these for extended periods. However, this may or may not have to do with me being a fast walker and the fact that when I wear these I usually go up and down stairs quickly several times a day (note: don't be like me. be careful on stairs).
That being said, I normally wear 7½ (US women's) and having gotten 7s I still feel like there was a decent amount of space. Thick socks definitely help with this but I do wonder if a 6 would have been better for me. My feet are a little wide (also I'm kinda fat), so I do get pain on the balls of my feet from wearing these a lot.
TL;DR: If you're unhinged like me and don't care about a little pain (it's really not that bad), then go for it. If you'd rather stay comfortable but still want platforms, maybe go for a boot or something with more structure.
