So I got these because the Shaker-100s were not a good fit on me. If you’re trying to figure out which of the Shakers you should get, I’ll try to give as much info as I can about the sizing.
If you’re short, the Shaker-65s should be the better fit. In some of the reviews for the Shaker-100s, there were people who were 5’3” and under who could fit them. That being said, I would say to measure the length from your heel to under your knee. If that length is below 15 inches, I would not get the 100’s, and just go with the Shaker-65. The Shaker-100’s boot shaft is about 15 inches, meanwhile the Shaker-65’s boot shaft is about 13.5. The Shaker 100’s were too long for me to really be able to bend my knee all the way.
As for calf sizing, a lot of the reviews between these boots seem to vary. Another review said that if your calves are bigger than 14 inches in diameter, that you should get the Shaker-65WC. I ended up getting the WC bc my calves are about 14.5 or a little below that. They fit somewhat loose, but definitely easy to put on, and I don’t worry about wearing thicker socks with these boots.
Other than length of the boot shaft and material, the difference between the Shaker 65 and Shaker 100 is that one has a back zipper and the other has a side zipper, respectively. That is about it.
In general, I like these boots a lot, but I sort of wish they were made of the same stiffer material that the Shaker-100’s had. I do get SOME ankle wrinkling, but it is not that bad. I think…
