I received so many compliments wearing these out! I have walked a good few miles in these boots now and they are pretty comfortable. No blisters or pains. When I first received these I did have to loosen the laces a bit and I don't consider myself to have big calves so have to keep that in mind. Now the zippers on these shoes aren't the greatest. They tend to be a little tricky to pull up sometimes. That is the only complaint I have with them.

as part of finally getting to dress like the goth princess i wanted to be as a teenager, i got these boots as a treat to myself. comfortable right out of the box, my own complaints are how difficult it is to loosen the laces to accommodate my legs and how the zipper feels at risk of being ripped off even when pulled steadily. i can see myself styling many outfits around these boots. they're equal parts edgy and cute and elegant and i am very pleased.
