I've been wearing the 301s as my everyday shoes for like a decade. I can normally get a year-and-a-half or more out of them before holes start appearing or the platforms get too worn down or start to detach. So I obviously love them and find them super easy to walk in.
The pair I bought this year is just not the same. I've only been wearing them for a couple weeks and the threading is already starting to fray in spots. And no matter how I lace them, the ankles seem too loose and are giving no support compared to other ones I've gotten. I feel like these aren't going to be as durable as they've been in the past.
However, the heel plate on this pair now goes up high enough to not cut through where gravity is pulling the back of the boot down against it and the soles actually feel like they're supposed to be in a shoe now. So that's neat.

These are my second pair of Demonia boots. I had my first pair for 16 years. That being said, I had high expectations for these boots before I ever received them. When I opened the box, I instantly loved them. The heel and sole are definitely a bit higher than I expected, but they are still great. I have wide feet, but they still fit wonderful. They are comfortable to wear around for the day and at work.

I wear these boots almost daily. I just ordered a replacement pair. It can be hard to find boots that still look like they have a heel but feel reasonably flat to walk in. I like that silhouette (since I don't have the skill for a true heel).
