I don't think that the calf circumference of the boots is accurate (as of right now, it says 'approximate calf circumference: 15"'). I had gifted these to a friend whose calves are 14", which is a full inch smaller than the advertised estimate. It didn't fit on them and they couldn't zip the boot all the way up. The boots themselves are beautiful; they just are probably most compatible with people who have small calves.
