I love thigh high boots, but my body just won't let me wear tall platform heels all day every day, so I appreciate that Demonia offers fairly flat-soled thigh high boots like these. I used to go with the Emily thigh highs, but Emily treads are not built for rain and slick city hills. I got these when my last Emily thigh highs finally burst on the heel seam because I saw the tread was significant on the Renegade thigh high. The material is pleasantly thicker and hopefully less likely to tear or pop than the Emily faux leather was.
I think the construction in general is better, although I had to use some zipper wax to help the zippers as is common with the bright steel zippers on Demonias. I have definitely gotten a compliment on these every single time I've worn them. The heel construction can make it a little harder to get my foot in even when fully unzipped and I would definitely consider these less "airport friendly" due to the zipper clunkiness, heel tightness, and mid-boot straps getting in the way of putting them on and zipping them up.
I may still be working out the right lacing tension since they feel properly snug, but where the leather attachments sit tends to be a bit difficult to zip up and I worry that the zipper will be damaged if I don't loosen the lacing in those areas.
Additionally, one of the boots will kinda dig into my inner ankle bone because of how the faux leather folds and I'm not sure if I can fix the lacing to stop that since it seems almost like…
